Download CVM

To download and install CVM from within Eclipse use the following update site URL:
http://user.cs.tu-berlin.de/~moreiser/eclipse/


In case you need an archived update site (e.g. for installation from behind a firewall) please contact us.


Please keep in mind that this is an experimental research prototype and we are only implementing and bugfixing the functionality we use in our research projects. This is made available for experimentation purposes only.

Installation

Prerequisites:
  1. Java 1.5 (or later) and
  2. Eclipse 3.4.1 (or later) must be installed on your system.
Installation in Eclipse 3.4:
  1. Start Eclipse
  2. Select menu item "Help / Software Updates ..."
  3. In the dialog, choose "Available Software"
  4. Click button "Add Site ..."
  5. Enter the following URL
    Update Site URL:
    http://swt.cs.tu-berlin.de/~moreiser/eclipse/
  6. Click "Ok"
  7. From the list select "CVM Variability Management Framework" and click "Next"
  8. ... the remaining steps are straightforward
NOTE: If you do not have network access and have been supplied with an archived update site, then the following change applies:
in step 5: click button "Archive ..." and find the file on your hard-disk instead of entering the url
